In the heart of Vilamoura lies the Grande Dame of the Algarve, the Old Course Golf Club.
As one of the first courses in the region, Frank Pennink’s design is renowned throughout the golfing world.Although only a 20-minute drive from Faro Airport, the course is nestled amongst imposing pine trees and set on gently rolling terrain.
There is no doubt that for all those lucky enough to play here, this is a golf course that will be remembered for a long time. The modernisation programme has preserved the challenge of this magnificent course for future generations and has raised the quality of the Old Course Golf Club to a new level.
The attractive new clubhouse and adjacent putting green were the final touches to this refurbishment in the closing years of the last millennium and continue to add greatly to the golfing experience to this day.
